Oswego Hotel’s 2025 Christmas Food Drive: Help Us Support the Mustard Seed
This meaningful initiative invites both our guests and the wider Victoria community to give back during the holiday season, and every donation, big or small, makes a difference.
We’re excited to announce that the Oswego Hotel, in collaboration with the Aegir Room, will host a Christmas Food Drive for the Mustard Seed Street Church from November 15th to December 31st, 2025.
Guest & Community Participation
Drop-Off Location
A beautiful, holiday-wrapped collection bin will be placed in the guest lobby, clearly marked and accompanied by signage. Donations are welcome between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM daily.
Accepted Items (Examples)
We kindly ask for non-perishable, unexpired goods only:
- Canned proteins (e.g. tuna, chicken, beans)
- Pasta and sauce
- Cereal/oatmeal
- Peanut butter
- Protein bars
- Baby formula
- Feminine hygiene products
- Toothpaste
- Toilet paper
Flyers with this full list will also be distributed locally and available in the lobby.

Why It Matters
Each contribution, even a single item, can mean shelf-stable nutrition or essential care for someone who might otherwise go without. Especially during the winter months, food insecurity in our community increases, and together, we can help meet the need.
This initiative also reflects Oswego’s ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting the well-being of those around us.
Pro Tip for Staff Members: Bring an item with your lunch or after your shift – small contributions add up fast!
About the Mustard Seed Street Church
For over 40 years, the Mustard Seed has supported vulnerable individuals and families in Greater Victoria. From food security programs and hot meals to shelter and counselling services, their work is essential, especially during the holidays.
