Downtown Victoria has many options for fresh produce, meats, and – of course – seafood. We’ve put together our list of top 5 local places to go for groceries, including those within walking distance, and those a little further away (but well worth it)!

Little Gem Grocery

Little Gem Grocer is a family-owned business in the heart of downtown Victoria. They offer limited produce and dairy products, but lots of frozen ingredients and quick snacks. They also serve fresh coffee, so be sure to grab a cuppa on your way out!

Red Barn Market

Red Barn Market’s philosophy is simple: Island Raised, Island Made, and Island Grown! They source local products first and have a huge selection of fresh produce, seafood, both fresh and cured meats, dairy products, and unique items you’ll only find on Vancouver Island.

Victoria Olive Oil Co.

The Victoria Olive Oil Co. offers a wide variety of olive oils to enhance any dish. Choose from flavoured oils to classic extra virgin olive oil, or try one of their numerous kinds of rich balsamic vinegars. They are also very helpful and knowledgeable and can provide suggested pairings for all of their products. All of their oils are aged for at least 12 years and are free from added sugar and preservatives.
