The Legislature Bus Terminal (9 min. walk)

After you’re done touring the majesty of the British Columbia Legislature Buildings, hop on one of BC Transit’s buses (maybe a double-decker, if you get lucky!), and get around with ease! BC Transit has a helpful transit map, as well as route searches, so you can plan your trip ahead of time or have confidence in the moment to hop on and hop off.

BC Transit’s buses are bike-friendly, and small animals are welcome so long as they remain within a carrier (aside from service animals which are, by law, always welcome). They’re a great way to live like a local and get just about anywhere you want or need to go, including from the BC Ferry Terminal at Schwartz Bay, or to Butchart Gardens!

The buses are all double-deckers, with the top deck partially open to the fresh sea air as you make your way around town. Tours depart regularly, and you can book your tickets in advance for the utmost convenience.

Take in the beauty of the great Pacific Ocean, and keep your eyes peeled for sea lions, humpback whales, and orcas as you make your way to your destination. Just a note though – the Clipper ferries are a high-speed catamaran design, so it’s only built to accommodate foot passengers!
